Napoli’s Emanuele Giaccherini believes Chievo will be a difficult opponent and wants to play more regularly.
The 31-year-old suffered a minor muscle injury at the start of the season but has been unable to claim a place in Maurizio Sarri’s starting 11 since returning to fitness.
“We need to put the problems against Genoa behind us,” Giaccherini told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli when asked about the Partenopei’s goalless draw in midweek.
“Chievo are a difficult opponent. They are an expert team and are difficult to overcome.
“I want to be able to get on the pitch as soon as possible, I want to give the team a hand. I need to play.”
The attacking midfielder has been an unused substitute in each of Napoli’s last three Serie A matches.
