Marek Hamsik said Napoli are “alive and kicking” after a 4-2 Champions League victory over Benfica.

He opened the scoring at the Stadio San Paolo before a Dries Mertens brace and Arek Milik penalty.

“We had a great result against a top level team. It’s a shame about the end, when we conceded two avoidable goals,” Hamsik told Mediaset Premium.

“Napoli are alive and kicking. When we scored two goals and then another two in quick succession, that’s when the game was decided.”

The Partenopei are absolutely dominating their Champions League group with six points after two rounds, already four clear of Besiktas.
