Marco Giampaolo says he feels the support of Sampdoria’s board and fans despite recent results.

The Blucerchiati have lost their last four Serie A matches, prompting speculation that the Luigi Ferraris boss’ position is under threat.

However, speaking at the Press conference ahead of his team’s match with Palermo, the Coach insisted that spirits remain high in the Samp camp.

“Sampdoria have always played until the end of the matches they have played in,” Giampaolo told reporters.

“The team has never left the field down and out, but this week I have seen everyone in good spirit.

“The fans have never left us, we have always had their support and it will be like that tomorrow as well. There are still a lot of matches left.

“There isn’t a lot of difference between the teams fighting to stay up. There are no easy matches.

“I feel the closeness and the support of the club, I have never felt any less.”
