Graziano Pellè could be dropped for the trip to Macedonia after he refused to shake Italy Coach Giampiero Ventura’s hand.

The striker, now playing in China, was visibly irritated when substituted during the 1-1 draw with Spain in Turin.

He stormed off straight to the dug-out, by-passing Ventura’s attempted hand-shake.

Italy were trailing 1-0 at the time, but got back on track with a Daniele De Rossi penalty in the World Cup qualifier.

Pellè has been strongly criticised in the Italian media for his behaviour and is expected to be dropped for Sunday’s trip to Macedonia.

"These things happen," said Ventura in his Press conference. "I think Graziano was more angry at himself and the way his performance went than anything else."

Ciro Immobile and Andrea Belotti completely changed the course of the game when coming off the bench, so they are tipped to start rather than Pellè and Eder.

Riccardo Montolivo was stretchered off in the first half after a clash of knees and is very unlikely to be fit for the Macedonia match.

Albania are currently top of the World Cup qualifying group with six points following their 2-0 win away to Liechtenstein.

Israel grabbed a 2-1 victory in Macedonia to reach three points, behind Italy and Spain on four.
