Polish media are blaming Coach Adam Nawalka for the ACL tear to Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik.

The forward is expected to be out of action for four months, though will require further tests at Rome’s Villa Stuart clinic today.

The incident occurred during the first half of last night’s 3-2 World Cup qualifying win over Denmark.

Milik was on the sidelines for quite a while, but tried to carry on until he was substituted during the break.

“Milik was having a really good game and suddenly there was this foul,” Polish reporter Emil Kaminski told Napolicalciolive.

“It took him a while to get back on his feet. Incredibly, he then got back on the pitch until half-time, albeit hobbling.

“Those five minutes could’ve made the difference. I think keeping him on the field was an error from Nawalka and it probably aggravated the injury.”

It’s reported the tear of the anterior cruciate ligament is only partial, so his absence is expected to be four months rather than six.
