With Napoli due to play Roma this weekend, Max Allegri has spoken about his potential team selection for Juve's fixture with Udinese.

At his pre-match press conference, he hinted that after they returned from international duty with Argentina, only one of Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala will start, with a potential first team debut for 16-year-old Moise Kean in the pipeline.

"With Pjaca out, I have put Kean with the first team, he can grow, he has good quality, and not just one good attribute, but many. He displays a higher level that than he should for one born in 2000, and I hope for his sake that he can do well.

"One of Dybala or Higuain will play for sure. To play Kean from the beginning seems risky but we will assess their condition today and see how they have recovered.

"[Medhi] Benatia can play, he has trained well. The only one that has come back today is [Leonardo] Bonucci and I also have Benatia, [Andrea] Barzagli and [Giorgio] Chiellini. We can also play with a back four, we'll see after training.

After Gianluigi Buffon made a mistake for Italy against Spain, which allowed La Roja to score, the Juve boss defended the stellar record of his veteran goalkeeper, going on to reiterate the importance of victory in Serie A this weekend.

"It’s blasphemy to criticise Buffon after an error at his feet after he has only made three, four, five errors in total. Buffon’s record speaks for itself, after what he has done in the last 20 years. It was an error that any goalkeeper could make.

"The match against Udinese is not a simple one, they are a good team, with a good coach, and we have to win.

“We must be humble, yet still be able to take home the three points. Whatever happens we will remain at the top but we have to think about winning. We have to play a great game tomorrow to give our fans a big boost.

"The race to the Scudetto is long, and what’s the advantage of having points now?

"We had a difficult start, but now we have to press on, we have to move forward step by step, we have to win tomorrow and then again against Lyon.

"It’s an important game, given the form of Lyon. we must be preparing for Tuesday but also for tomorrow."
