Fiorentina midfielder Matias Vecino says ‘the team are united’ after a run of poor results.

The Viola sit fourteenth in the table, scoring just six goals in seven league outings, leading to suggestions that Coach Paulo Sousa has just three games to save his job.

"The group is solid and united," the Uruguyan midfielder told Corriere dello Sport. “A different level of intensity will come.”

“A scoring crisis? We have to be better at exploiting shots from outside the box and taking advantage of set pieces, especially when opponents try to shut us down.

“I am convinced that Fiorentina can, all together, to find the strength to get out of trouble and have that continuity of results to get going.

"Sousa sacked? I was on the bench more often in recent weeks and I can’t see it happening. He was attentive as always. Kalinic will find himself a smile along with the goals.

"My personal goals? I have two dreams: to win a World Cup and to become remembered in Florence."
