Paulo Sousa warns Fiorentina “aren’t healed yet” after a morale-boosting 3-1 Europa League victory at Slovan Liberec.

“We still don’t score enough goals, but today we managed three and it was enough to win,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are not healed yet, as there’s a long way to go. It’s certainly a good start that we are able to soak up pressure, as if we get too deep then the opposition can create chances.

“We brought home the three points, are top of the group and can control the situation. In attack we tried to spread the wingers, allowing Borja Valero and the strikers to have more space.

“We could’ve done better in the first half, while after the break we dropped the intensity levels.”

Is the Europa League Fiorentina’s main objective this season?

“My objective is to see my players enjoy their football both in Serie A and Europe,” replied Sousa.

“So far that is only happening in flashes. We have the points to top the group and hope for a luckier draw than last season.”
