Andrea Poli says Milan will look to end their run of poor results against Juventus and says the Rossoneri 'are ready' for this great clash.

The midfielder recently surpassed 100 appearances for the club and discussed the impact of Coach Vincenzo Montella, who was Poli's team-mate at Sampdoria during the 2007-08 campaign.

"It’s an important goal and this means a lot in such a difficult period for the club," the 27-year-old told Milan TV. "It surely has increased my sense of belonging to Milan. I have fond memories of these 100 matches, it was a goal I wanted to reach and I am really proud.

"I played with Montella at Samp, he was a really strong player and a great striker. He was a great professional, and focused on the details. It’s strange to have him as a manager but he surely was one of the strongest strikers in Italy."

He was then asked about the upcoming meeting with Juventus, who have beaten Milan in each of their last five meetings under Coach Max Allegri.

"He was the manager when I first got here," Poli continued. "He is doing great things with Juve, he’s really a capable manager.

"Juve are the team to beat and surely are the strongest candidate to win the league. We'll try to reverse the negative trend starting from Saturday. We are ready for this great clash.

"There’s a lot of enthusiasm from our fans, I think our players have seen this in these first months: we want to play a great match in front of our fans."
