Chinese club Jiangsu have hit back over claims that Yuto Nagatomo, who signed a new Inter deal in April, could join them in January.

The Sports Hochi newspaper in the 30-year-old’s native Japan have claimed that he could leave this winter for the Chinese outfit, who are another club held by Inter’s owners the Suning Group.

Nagatomo has not featured in under-fire Coach Frank de Boer’s plans this season, with the Dutchman instead preferring to deploy Davide Santon and Cristian Ansaldi in the Nerazzurri back-line.

"Contrary to reports in the Japanese press, Jiangsu Suning wishes to clarify that it did not make any offers for Yuto Nagatomo of Inter, who will not be purchased during the winter window.”
