This morning, both Corriere dello Sport and Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that De Boer’s fate is already decided, and he’ll be sacked after Wednesday’s Torino game.

However, it’s believed the board are split over who should replace the Dutchman, with President Erick Thohir pushing for a big name such as Laurent Blanc, Marcelo Bielsa, Louis van Gaal or Andre Villas Boas.

On the other hand, the Suning Group wants to go with a more pragmatic, Italian choice in the shape of Andrea Mandorlini, Stefano Pioli or Francesco Guidolin while they wait for Diego Simeone.

In the middle of all this is the advice of former President Massimo Moratti, who is pushing former Coach Leonardo.

Finally, advisor Kia Joorabchian is due at the shareholders’ meeting on Friday, and the super agent believes Guus Hiddink should be De Boer’s replacement.
