"I do not occupy my mind with the transfer market. From what they tell me, the relationship is excellent with Roma but it’s the same with Juve.”
The Neroverdi supremo was then asked about their band of young Italian stars who include Luca Antei, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Matteo Politano and Federico Ricci.
“Our strategy to focus on youth is proving successful and correct. Those mentioned are all players of solid prospects. Pellegrini has technique and personality.
“If we do not lose him, I am convinced that he will soon become a star of the Italian national team.”
Concluding with his thoughts on Eusebio Di Francesco, the Sassuolo president heaped praise on his Coach, who is fully on board with their youth development philosophy.
"He's a great coach who knows how to be outstanding in developing young players and helping them to achieve the right mindset. The team possesses personality and spirit, which they carry with conviction.”
