Abel Balbo says that Roma 'play attacking football now' and provide Edin Dzeko with 'so many' chances to score.

The former Argentina international striker, had already compared the Bosnian with Gabriel Batistuta, and went on to say that with so many chances created by teammates, Dzeko 'needs to be good'

"Dzeko is the one who is always in the right place, he makes the right moves, and has so many scoring chances in every game," Balbo told Corriere dello Sport. "The team plays a lot more to him now. If a striker receives all these chances, he needs to be good.

"He gets many chances to score and had he not missed some he would already have 17-18 goals. He must be more vicious in front of goal, as to score goals you have to want it in your blood. That makes the difference.

"He's a bit of everything without excelling in everything. He’s tall but not very strong with his head, and is sometimes unable to overcome the defenders in the air.

"He must take advantage of his height. He’s not bad with his feet, technically he commands respect. His shot is good but it’s not that of a natural born striker.

"He definitely has a major role to play. He feels the Coach's trust which is very important and he has earned it. The team play to help Dzeko, which is why he has so many scoring chances. Now Roma is a team that plays attacking football.

"Roma can be bothersome to Juve, Napoli play well but do not have a competitive squad like Roma. It greatly depends on Juve, who play in the Champions League.

"If they do well in Europe, it’s best for the Roma. But I think that Juve are still a step ahead.”
