Line-ups: Palermo-Milan

Milan aim to consolidate third place with their trip to a Palermo side in crisis, but are forced into changes upfront.

It kicks off at the Stadio Barbera at 14.00 GMT, follow the build-up and action from all today’s Serie A games on the LIVEBLOG.

The Rossoneri have been on fine form lately, winning six of the last eight rounds, interrupted only by a 3-0 hammering by Genoa when squad rotation went too far.

Gabriel Paletta returns from suspension to bolster the defence, while Mati Fernandez and Luca Antonelli are available after lengthy lay-offs.

M’Baye Niang hasn’t made the trip to Sicily due to flu symptoms, remaining behind with injured Andrea Bertolacci, Davide Calabria, Riccardo Montolivo and Leonel Vangioni.

It means Giacomo Bonaventura is pushed into a more advanced role in the trident with Carlos Bacca and Suso.

In turn, his old midfield spot is filled by Mario Pasalic, who finally got his debut last week after joining on loan from Chelsea in August.

Palermo are in familiar territory, namely the relegation zone and having already fired one Coach (Davide Ballardini) with his replacement hanging by a thread.

Roberto De Zerbi has to find a way of turning this season around after one point from the last six games.

Their home record is absolutely disastrous, losing all five matches at the Stadio Barbera, scoring two goals and conceding 12.

The injuries are also starting to pile up, as Andrea Rispoli, Giancarlo Gonzalez, Norbert Balogh, Accursio Bentivegna and Aleksandar Trajkovski miss out.

Ilija Nestorovski is perhaps the only bright spot of the campaign so far.

This game sees an intriguing battle between the youngest goalkeepers in Serie A, as 20-year-old Josip Posavec and 17-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma put together are still younger than Gigi Buffon.

The Sicilians have lost six of their last eight meetings with Milan, home and away, with a lone 2-0 victory at San Siro in November 2014 and 2-2 draw at the Barbera in October 2012. The Rossoneri are unbeaten in this Serie A fixture since a 1-0 in March 2011.
