The Polish forward suffered the injury whilst on international duty in October, and is not expected to return until at lest February.

"I continue to feel better, but when I heard the diagnosis I cried," the 22-year-old told Sportowefakty. "I was depressed during the first few days, but my age you have to pick yourself up.

"I looked at all the messages from the fans, then I wanted to immediately start my rehabilitation.

"Around 99% of these injuries are due to a slight contusion, but unfortunately it can happen. It's my first injury of this severity.

"I carry out at least two training sessions a day, at 9am at the sports centre then I go home at 4pm and I do additional exercises.

"I train every day on a stationary bike, at a very slow pace. I am still at the beginning of my journey.

"Do I get bored? I try to kill time doing things you cannot usually do. For example, I made some investments.

"I feel great support from the team, the fans and my National side."

Milik then spoke about legendary Napoli stadium announcer Decibel, who has opted to call him 'Arkadiuszo'.

"Decibel is a very positive person, I was amazed, it was amazing. It means so much to me.

"We talked about it, I suggested he call me Arek, but he insisted to deliver my full name. The important thing is to do it with passion."

But does Milik feel like a star in this Napoli side?

"No, I always believe in the collective, and I still have to grow much. I do not want to rest on our laurels, I want to grow as a player and as a person."
