“Over the last few years, I think you can say many things about me, but not that I am a hypocrite or that I don’t defend complicated ideas,” Buffon said in today’s Italy Press conference.
“I do not let myself get dragged into things if it’s not right. What happened there is part of some fantasy life: I live real life. Others live in this fantasy life, not me.
“I never said anything of the sort, there was never a team meeting and I shouldn’t even need to be here explaining this.
“When things just plain didn’t happen, you shouldn’t be called to answer for them.”
