Manchester City are reportedly approaching Milan for Gianluigi Donnarumma, but Gigi Buffon would “give him some brotherly advice.”

The goalkeeper is only 17 years old, but has already become a key figure for the Rossoneri in Serie A and is second choice to Buffon for Italy.

According to Sky Sport Italia this evening, Manchester City have made an initial approach to Milan for Donnarumma.

The San Siro club is in the process of a takeover by Chinese investors, so would in theory not be in any position to cash in on their young talent.

“I could say Manchester City are very wise to be making that type of proposal,” Buffon told Sky Sport Italia when asked about the rumours.

“It has to be said, though, Gigio already plays for a glorious club. I’d whisper some brotherly advice in his ear.”
