Keisuke Honda reveals he “is not dying to leave Milan. I could’ve gone, but the offers I received were inadequate.”
The Japan international’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and a renewal is very unlikely.
“I could’ve already left Milan, but the offers I received were inadequate,” he told J-TV while on international duty.
“I am not dying to leave the club, so there is no issue on my future.”
The Rossoneri are in the middle of a takeover by Chinese investors, though Silvio Berlusconi should remain as Honorary President.
“I think it’s the end of an era. I understand that the club wants to change tack.”
Honda has been at San Siro since leaving CSKA Moscow as a free agent in January 2014.
