The striker has made only one appearance in a Nerazzurri jersey, for just 16 minutes plus stoppages, but Frank de Boer said several times that he was unprepared to play in Serie A.
“I did not interfere with the negotiations that took Gabriel to Italy,” Santos Coach Dorival Junior told Fox Sports.

“I did not interfere with the negotiations that took Gabriel to Italy,” Santos Coach Dorival Junior told Fox Sports.
“I only told him that the ideal would be to stay and grow at Santos before going abroad.
“Less than a year ago, when the talks started, I repeated to him that it was not the right moment to leave and that he needed to start several games.”
