This will be the debut for new Coach Stefano Pioli after Frank de Boer was sacked just 84 days into his tenure.

“We are very confident, as I saw a determined side and we’ve done good work, especially on the defensive movements,” director of sport Ausilio told Radio Deejay.

“We arrive at this appointment in good shape and in 90 minutes anything could happen. We won’t be content with a draw, as we intend to win and nobody can settle in a derby. We must do everything to win this game.”

The Nerazzurri have made big investments with Suning Group cash, but had to leave Joao Mario, Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa and Geoffrey Kondogbia out of the Europa League squad list to avoid Financial Fair Play penalties.

“We must stay within the Financial Fair Play parameters, as at the end of the January transfer window he need to present our balance sheet.

“Therefore do not expect other investments, as first we must reduce the current squad. From next year, it will all be very different.”
