Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik is targeting a January return to action after he suffered an ACL injury back in October.

The Poland international took to social media on Sunday to report that he had encountered his first training session with the ball, and included a video alongside the tweet.

"I continue to strive to return to the pitch,” the 22-year-old wrote on his Twitter account. “Today has been my first contact with the ball. Thanks to all who are supporting me in this difficult journey."

Today’s edition of Tuttosport reports that the striker could return as soon as January, but the Partenopei will continue in their search for a player to replace him.
Simone Zaza and Leonardo Pavoletti remain the favourites to do so, but Bologna’s Mattia Destro has since emerged as another potential candidate.
