“Regarding what was reported by the Spanish media over the last few days, Promoesport wants to clarify that Felipe Melo has not received any offer from Valencia CF, a side he profoundly respects and towards whose Coach he has great respect and admiration,” read the Promoesport note.
“It was also claimed that he is rejecting the possibility of joining a side like Valencia because he is considering a minor league, which is absolutely false for two reasons:
“Firstly, he is not thinking about leaving Inter. Secondly, he does not wish to diminish the leagues of any country, because he feels the competitivity of a tournament is determined by how much the athlete offers in his performance.
“And when talking about Felipe, that is always the utmost effort.”
