The Partenopei need at least one point from this match to be sure of qualification for the Round of 16, as they are level at the top of Group B and have already beaten Benfica 4-2 at the San Paolo.

There’s also the possibility that both Napoli and Benfica could qualify regardless, but only if Besiktas lose to Dynamo Kiev.

Over 2,500 fans are in Lisbon for this huge game and confidence is growing after Friday night’s 3-0 demolition job on Inter.

Gabbiadini is in the trident attack with Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon, leaving Dries Mertens as an option to shake up the match off the bench.

Marek Hamsik, Allan and Amadou Diawara play in midfield, leaving Piotr Zielinski on the bench.

Napoli had been 4-0 up against Benfica on home turf, but risked throwing it away by conceding two late goals.

Benfica drop struggling Greek striker Kostas Mitroglu in favour of Mexico international Raul Jimenez, who has scored two in his last four appearances.

The hosts are without injured Andre Horta and Jonas, but more importantly both left-back Alex Grimaldo and his understudy Eliseu are out of action, so Andre Almeida is re-rerouted to that role.

Swedish defender Viktor Lindelof has been repeatedly linked with a Serie A move, as Napoli, Inter, Milan and Roma are known to be interested.

On the bench is ex-Inter Treble-winning goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

Benfica didn’t have the best build-up to this match, losing to Maritimo on Friday in the Liga. They’ve lost only two of their last 29 competitive games – to Maritimo and Napoli.

The last time these sides met in Portugal it was a 2-0 Benfica victory, knocking Napoli out of the 2008-09 UEFA Cup first round 4-3 on aggregate.

This competition has not been kind to Napoli, who in 2013-14 went out of the Champions League group phase despite amassing an excellent 12 points.

Napoli: Reina; Hysaj, Koulibaly, Albiol, Ghoulam; Allan, Diawara, Hamsik; Callejon, Gabbiadini, Insigne
