Jose Callejon felt Napoli “deserved” to win their Champions League group and will “enjoy the moment” after beating Benfica 2-1.
The Spaniard scored the opening goal before Dries Mertens completed a 2-1 victory in Lisbon this evening.
“This is what we wanted, we are top of the group and I think we had a splendid performance,” Callejon told Mediaset Premium.

This means Napoli will face one of the group runners-up in the next round.
“All the teams in the Round of 16 are strong. Now we are in there and we’ll see what happens, but right now we’re going to enjoy the moment.”
The striker dedicated the goal to his new-born daughter Arya.
