Inter striker Eder stresses that the Nerazzurri ‘must believe’ that they can still achieve something this season.

The 30-year-old scored a brace in Inter’s 2-1 victory over Sparta Prague in the Europa League on Thursday evening, but his side had already been eliminated from the competition.

"It’s a victory that can help the morale of the group and give us confidence," the Italian international told Sky Sport Italia.

"Since we have had [Stefano] Pioli we have worked so hard, you can see that in the physical aspect as we attempt to recover from matches.

"The fans? Their criticism is justified, we have not done well, but every Sunday they are there to encourage us.

"But I say: there is still time to until the end of the season and there are many points at stake. We can still achieve everything.

"We have to believe it, but we must not make any more mistakes. It’s a long time since Inter haven’t done well, we don’t want to start this season.

"We have valuable team spirit and perhaps with a little confidence we can come out of this."
