“Every game we approach in a different way when it comes to tactics,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Against Palermo we had 44 attacking moves with 20 shots, seven of them on target. We allowed only four efforts on target from our opponents.

“Obviously it also depends on the form the opposition is going through, but we could use this approach again tomorrow.

“Sassuolo haven’t really changed much from last season, as they have the same principles and qualities. They play better against teams who try to attack, but struggle when opponents clam up.

“I always want an attack-minded Fiorentina, that must be our mentality. We have to create in order to win. I expect a tough team, organised and physical, but we know what we have to do.

“We have to ensure the intensity stays high throughout and continue to create chances all the way to the end.”

Borja Valero sustained a knock in the Europa League win away to Qarabag and remains in doubt, but Khouma Babacar has recovered.

“Hopefully our difficulties and bad luck will be left behind when 2016 ends too.”
