“It was a tough few days with the journey to and from Azerbaijan, but our character is growing. Sassuolo caused us some problems and we didn’t create enough opportunities to finish off the game.
“Kalinic is doing very well, we are talking about a player with extraordinary quality. I am very happy for him. I chose Federico Chiesa because he was perfect for this match and I always choose the best line-up for the game. In general, we had the right spirit.”
Fiorentina have been paired with Borussia Monchengladbach in the Europa League Round of 32.
“We know that they are a team built for the Champions League and did very well last season. They have a lot of quality, so it will certainly be a tie with two high quality games.”
