Laurent Blanc insists he was “never contacted by Inter or Lille” after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

The former France Coach had been heavily tipped to take the job over the summer when Roberto Mancini abruptly terminated his contract by mutual consent two weeks before the start of the season.

It went to Frank de Boer, then Blanc was in the frame again until Stefano Pioli’s appointment.

“I started out with the idea of taking a break and I won’t change from that, naturally unless I receive an offer I can’t refuse,” Blanc revealed today.

“I smile when I read that I’ve been linked to this or that club, as clearly reporters have a very active imagination.

“I was never contacted by Inter or Lille. I did have other proposals, which I politely declined. I want to take a sabbatical.”
