Gonzalo Higuain dismissed claims that the forthcoming SuperCoppa Italiana match with Milan is a Champions League warm-up.

After the striker confessed his side would have to be perfect to win the trophy on Friday, he stressed that the fixture was no workout for his Juventus side.

"No, this has nothing to do with the Champions League," Pipita continued in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport. "If we go into the game feeling that way, we will make a big mistake.

"It is not a workout, but just one game. A game to win."

Would Higuain like to see any additions made to the current Juve side?

"I would not take any other player from any other squad. I am delighted to play with these teammates and game by game, I’m more and more convinced by this.

"The Champions League is a desire, but so is making history by winning the sixth consecutive Scudetto.

"In Europe you need a bit of luck, but in the league consistency is more important. The club took me because they wanted me and trust in me.

"In any case, the aim is to win as many titles as possible."
