There were reports over the last couple of days that Massimo Carrera wanted the Brazilian to join his club during the January transfer window.
“I don’t believe such a stupid transfer can take place,” Seluk told Russian site Championat.com.

“If this transfer does happen, it will prove that whoever made the decision was either a complete idiot or corrupt.
“I have known this player for a long time, as he made his debut for Shakhtar Donetsk against Metalurg. No wonder he only left for €8m, when Shakhtar usually sell players for €40m.
“The only distinguishing feature Luiz Adriano has is pace. As Spartak like to dominate possession, they’d be throwing money down the drain by signing him.
“About a year ago he was offered to a club in China, but even that move was abandoned. Why would Spartak pay millions for someone who played 120 minutes this season and hasn’t scored a single goal or provided an assist?”
