Valon Behrami called Napoli “one of the most spectacular teams in Europe” and Maurizio Sarri a vast improvement on Rafa Benitez.

The former Partenopei midfielder is now in England at Watford with another ex-Napoli hero, Coach Walter Mazzarri.

“I always watch Napoli, as they are one of the most spectacular teams in Europe,” the Swiss international told Radio Crc.

“I had no doubts, they just needed a Coach like Sarri to change everything, as the quality within the squad was already there. The title is just a matter of time.

“I think it was obvious from results and performances that Sarri has transformed Napoli from the Benitez era, making the most of the quality at his disposal.

“Things that before didn’t seem to work, now do. I’m not saying it – these are the facts.”

Napoli face Real Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16 in February, having topped their group ahead of Benfica and Besiktas.

The Azzurri won their last two Serie A games 5-0 at Cagliari and 5-3 against Torino.
