Juventus defender Claudio Marchisio has taken to Instagram to describe his bitter-sweet 2016.
Whilst his Bianconeri side won both the Scudetto and Coppa Italia trophies, Marchisio missed six months of playing time through a cruciate ligament injury sustained on April 18th.
It was not only Juventus that missed the number eight though, as he also was unable to take part in Italy’s Euro 2016 campaign.
"In addition to many victories in 2016, I can not forget the very long summer," the 30-year-old wrote on his Instagram profile.

"I missed the end of year awards at the Juventus Stadium with my teammates, the European Championships in France, and the very first part of this season.
