Eusebio Di Francesco was pleased with Sassuolo's second half performance against Torino and has called on his players to build on it.

"We made a lot of mistakes in the first half," Di Francesco admitted post-match. "We moved to a 4-2-3-1 formation and the team found more balance and managed to be better in the second half.

"In the second half the team pleased me a lot from a mental and tactical point of view. It was not easy.
"We need to build on this performance, from this second half, where we got two or three things right again.
"We had a lot of chances, even though we didn't manage to score."
In a season which has seen Sassuolo ravaged by injury, Di Francesco was able to welcome back duo Timo Letschert and Matteo Politano to the first team fold, while he also handed a debut to the experienced Alberto Aquilani.
"I have known him for a long time, obviously he is not as young as he used to be but he can be an asset for us."
