Reports say injured Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik is targeting an imminent return, and could even be called up against Pescara this weekend.

The Polish forward tore his ACL back in October, and medical examinations initially indicated that he would be out for six months.

Since then however, the 22-year-old has made remarkable progress and Il Mattino has suggested that Coach Maurizio Sarri may recall him to the squad this weekend.

Despite such claims, Milik is unlikely to make any significant contribution to the match, but his addition would send a message to Napoli’s competitors.

With a visit to the Villa Stuart medical centre scheduled for this week, the club will have a clearer idea of when the striker can make his full return to action.
