Adel Taarabt has officially joined Genoa on an 18-month loan deal from Benfica.
The Morocco international midfielder has been frozen out by SL Benfica all season after refusing a transfer.
He will be presented to the media on Thursday morning.
It is a return to Serie A for the 27-year-old, who impressed during a loan spell at Milan.
Taarabt scored four goals with two assists and three yellow cards in 16 appearances for the Rossoneri in 2014.
