Palermo creative midfielder Alessandro Diamanti turned down an offer from Swansea City, claim Sky Sport Italia.
It’s reported the former West Ham United and Watford man was approached by Swansea for a return to the Premier League.
However, the 33-year-old only signed for Palermo six months ago and does not want to leave the club languishing at the foot of the Serie A table.
Despite just arriving this summer, Diamanti was immediately handed the captain’s armband at the Stadio Barbera.
He has four assists in 16 Serie A appearances so far this season.
