Inter have officially confirmed that Felipe Melo has joined Palmeiras on loan until the end of the season.
The transfer has been known about for some time, and the midfielder has been in Brazil since the winter break.
This morning, the Nerazzurri officially confirmed that the 33-year-old will play in his homeland until June.
“FC Internazionale announces that an agreement has been reached with Palmeiras for the loan transfer of Felipe Melo de Carvalho until June 30, 2017,” a short statement confirmed.
Given that Melo’s contract expires the same day, it’s likely he’ll sign permanently with the Brazilian club when his loan expires.
