The Patrice Evra saga drags on, as it’s reported Valencia have again overtaken Crystal Palace in the race for the Juventus full-back.

He has been left out of the Bianconeri squad for several games now while he takes time to decide on his future.

His contract with Juve is set to expire at the end of the season and the 35-year-old is evaluating his next move.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Crystal Palace are no longer the favourites to get Evra’s signature.

He is gravitating towards Valencia, who agreed terms with Juventus for Simone Zaza yesterday.

The Spaniards would be able to match his current salary, whereas Palace would’ve paid less with a longer contract to June 2018.

Manchester United are apparently continuing to monitor the situation without making a formal proposal.
