“I’m here because Valencia are the club that wanted me the most,” said the 25-year-old.

“I’ve known about Valencia’s interest for a long time. When I realised that I wouldn’t play much in England, I started looking into it. The team aren’t in a good way, but I hope to help.

“Prandelli wanted me. When he left, I thought it was him who wanted me.

“Despite this, the same night he left, Valencia told me that they wanted me and believed in me.

“The Premier League? For me, it was a difficult time. I was optimistic when I said goodbye to Juve.

“I wanted to experience England because it’s the football I like.

“But it began badly. I think the blame lies with me because I saw everything in a negative light. I regret not being able to show what I can do.

“How many goals will I score? As many as possible for us to win. The most important thing is to start well.

“Prandelli? He told the truth, his situation was difficult but I’ll still be playing for a good team.

“Morata? I’m friends with Alvaro. I’m happy because we’ll play against eachother.”
