Milan Coach Vincenzo Montella insists “I hope Juventus are angry” as “when you’re angry you’re less lucid”.
The Bianconeri have lost their last two meetings with the Diavolo, including the Supercoppa Italiana at the end of December.
After the response of Max Allegri’s side to their Fiorentina defeat, it has been suggested they’ll be out for revenge in the Coppa Italia, but the Rossoneri Coach doesn’t fear the Old Lady’s anger.
“I hope they’re angry, because when you’re angry you’re less lucid,” Montella pointed out in his pre-match Press conference.
“I doubt that will be the case though, as they’re too experienced. We’ll try to go through.
“Max Allegri? It will be a difficult game, regardless of the challenge between the two Coaches.
“They can change formation and players, and they can change during the match. It’s important that there’s growth on our side.
“I think the game on Saturday [a 2-1 defeat to Napoli] has left us with a bit of bitterness because of what we offered against a strong team.
“We played at least on par with them, we had more of the ball than Napoli, a clear territorial supremacy and we were pushed higher up.
“We played with boldness and a great mindset, and we have to keep that mentality while improving our game management.
“We want to play for our chance tomorrow, because the Coppa Italia is an important objective for the club.”
Gerard Deulofeu finally completed his move to San Siro yesterday, and Montella was full of praise for the Everton loanee.
“He’s a player I know very well, because I’ve been following him for some time. He has all the talent in the world, but hasn’t expressed it fully.
“One of my tasks will be to see why, because he’s a very strong player. We signed him to play him.
“We’ll see how he is physically, but he’s keen to make his mark.
“Will he be in the squad? We’ll see, but I think we’ll take him with us.”
