Sassuolo boss Eusebio Di Francesco says his side did not show enough belief in their 2-0 defeat by Juventus.

First half goals by Gonzalo Higuain and Sami Khedira clinched a solid away victory for the champions, a result the Neroverdi Coach believes was fair.

"We tried to compete but Juve were stronger and deserved the win," Di Francesco admitted post match.

"When we are not perfect we lose against teams like them, it's natural.

"When we are not perfect we lose against teams like them, it's natural.

"We didn't force the issue much and, more than anything, we made mistakes in defence.

"They have great quality, management of the game and the ball. From my point of view, we didn't believe much."

Di Francesco then added he couldn't see any other team stopping Juve from another successful defence of the Scudetto.

"Juve are the strongest team but I already thought that before this match."
