Empoli Coach Giovanni Martusciello was impressed with debutant Omar El Kaddouri after a 1-1 draw with Torino.

The creative midfielder arrived from Napoli over the January transfer window and was in the starting XI today.

“We achieved a very good result and I compliment my players, as they deserved the draw,” the Coach told Radio Rai.

“There are nonetheless some regrets, as we could’ve done better on occasion. El Kaddouri is an extraordinary player in terms of quality and I am really happy with his debut.

“He needs to improve in physical fitness, but I am pleased with his performance.”

Goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski was also decisive, saving Iago Falque’s second half penalty.
