Luciano Spalleti claims “it’s entirely possible for Roma to emulate Juventus” ahead of Tuesday’s match against Fiorentina in Serie A.
Roma lost 3-2 to Sampdoria in their last League game, making the visit of Fiorentina a must-win if they are to regain second place, and Spalletti admits the form of Juve and Napoli have “forced” the Giallorossi to keep picking up points.

“Perotti has been assessed but won’t make it, Juan Jesus will. Vermaelen was also assessed for a hand problem but probably won’t be in the squad,” the Coach said at a Press conference.
“Compared with the first game, we’ve improved and matured. We must be a bit quicker in attack, but apart from the three goals [we conceded] in Genoa, we’ve found the right mentality.
“It was good to reorganise ourselves [against Cesena] after a moment of difficulty. The Viola are a strong team that are getting results and performances. It’ll be a very tight and difficult game.
“Borja Valero? The question is a good one, but I’m happy with the players I have. Everyone wants Borja, he could play anywhere, at Real, Barca, in Manchester…
“Juve are looking strong, they’re ahead in all aspects, but we believe it’s entirely possible to emulate them.
“We knew Napoli were strong, they’re two teams that force us to always win. Being in their company means that we’re strong ourselves.
“My new contract? It depends on our results. Only after [the season] will we evaluate other aspects such as growth and prospects.
