Alessandro Nesta believes Inter, Roma and Napoli are capable of closing the gap on Juventus in future.

The Bianconeri are on course to secure a sixth successive Scudetto, moving seven points clear at the top of Serie A with last night's 2-0 victory at Crotone.

Questioned on the Old Lady's domination of Italian football, the former Milan and Lazio defender expressed his view that to overthrow the Turin side, clubs would have to implement long-term planning.

Questioned on the Old Lady's domination of Italian football, the former Milan and Lazio defender expressed his view that to overthrow the Turin side, clubs would have to implement long-term planning.

"You can only beat the Bianconieri by planning for the future," Nesta told Sky Sport 24.

"The teams who have the potential to reduce the gap are Inter, Roma and Napoli. Those three need to raise the bar every year and make bigger financial efforts to get there, but it is hard."

Nesta, who is now Coach of American outfit Miami FC, also said would be happy for Francesco Totti to join him in Florida, though he admits it is unlikely to happen.

"I congratulate him because he is doing something exceptional. I hope he can keep playing, if he wants to come here I'll be waiting even though it is right that he finishes at Roma."
