Gian Piero Gasperini praises Atalanta for their reaction in beating Pescara today.

La Dea responded to a 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Inter last week by beating the Delfini 3-0, a result which puts them back on track in the race for Europa League qualification.

The win over Serie A's bottom club also means the Bergamo side have set a new club record points haul, with their tally now standing at 55.

"The points record? Today was not a given, you always have to play the matches," Gasperini told Sky Sport.

"We wanted to get to the international break, we gave a good reaction.

"It wasn't easy to score goals today. All we are thinking about is improving our record."

Following the two-week break, La Dea will travel to face Gasperini's former club Genoa.

"It will be a very important and emotional game for me. Going back to Genoa after so much time will be special. It's a more important match for us than for Genoa, but playing there is always difficult."
