BOLOGNA SQUAD DETAILS

Coach Stefano Pioli

It was a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire for Stefano Pioli last season, as he shrugged off the ignominy of being sacked by Palermo in pre-season to guide Bologna – who were bottom of the League with one measly point when he arrived – to their highest Serie A finish for a decade. A 3-4-2-1 proponent, the 46-year-old specialised in eye catching results away to the big boys, snatching points from Inter, Milan, Roma, Lazio and Napoli.
