La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms Manchester United are seriously considering paying Gleison Bremer’s release clause, but the Red Devils could even include Mason Greenwood in a player-plus-cash swap deal to lower the defender’s transfer fee.

Il Corriere dello Sport and Gazzetta report that Manchester United are serious about Juventus defender Bremer and ready to activate a €60m release clause.

Sources have confirmed to Football Italia that Bremer’s contract with Juventus includes a release clause worth between €60m and €70m.

According to Gazzetta, however, activating the defender’s clause is not Man United’s only option to secure the defender’s signature.

According to a report, on Thursday’s printed edition on page eight, the Red Devils could include Greenwood in a player-plus-cash swap deal to lower Bremer’s price tag.

Greenwood, 22, is on loan at Getafe until the end of the season and has collected eight goals and five assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this season.

Juventus will also consider offers for Dean Huijsen, a transfer target for Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, hoping to earn €100m from his and Bremer’s sales.
