La Gazzetta dello Sport warns that Atalanta must absolutely avoid conceding in the opening stages of tonight’s Europa League quarter-final second leg against Liverpool and notes that Gianluca Scamacca and Mohamed Salah have a similar goal-per-minute ratio this season.

La Dea host Liverpool at the Gewis Stadium in Bergamo tonight, one week after securing a 3-0 victory at Anfield.

Thursday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport on page 10 notes that the Nerazzurri must avoid conceding in the opening stages tonight, while coach Gian Piero Gasperini has warned his players not to think about last week’s victory in Liverpool.

The pink paper also reports that Scamacca and Salah have a similar goal-per-minute ratio in 2023-24.

Even if the ex-Roma winger has netted 23 goals in 37 matches for Liverpool, more than Scamacca’s 14 in 34 games, the Italian has netted once every 118 minutes, while Salah has bagged one goal every 116 minutes.

Liverpool boss Klopp praised the Italian striker on the eve of the match, saying that the former West Ham striker could be a valuable option for Italy’s attack at Euro 2024.
