Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana congratulated his ex-teammate Lautaro Martinez on Instagram after seeing Inter win the Serie A title last night.

Cameroon international Onana, a former Inter goalkeeper, congratulated his ex-teammate Lautaro Martinez on Instagram on Monday night after seeing the Nerazzurri win the 20th Scudetto in their history.

The Serie A giants put their hands on the big prize after beating their city rivals Milan 2-1 at San Siro.

Onana commented on Lautaro’s Instagram post, writing: ‘Grande Toro’, which basically means ‘Well done, Toro’ and adding black and blue heart emojis.

Toro, bull in Italian and Spanish, is Lautaro’s nickname.

Onana returned to San Siro last week to watch Inter’s 2-2 draw against Cagliari. He reunited with his former teammates and congratulated them on winning the title, knowing he could not have flown to Milan for the derby.

Onana spent just one season at Inter and joined to Manchester United for €50m last summer.

He kept 19 clean sheets in 41 matches with the Nerazzurri in 2022-23, winning the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana and reaching the Champions League Final.
