According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus hope to extend with Federico Chiesa until June 2026, while Weston McKennie’s entourage has demanded a higher salary for the USMNT midfielder.

Tuesday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, on page eight, provided the latest updates on possible contract extensions at Juventus.

Daniele Rugani’s deal runs out in the summer, and according to the report, the Italian defender will sign a new deal until 2027, but with a lower salary than the current €3.5m per season. On the other hand, Alex Sandro won’t be offered a new contract and will leave in June.

Talks to extend Adrien Rabiot’s agreement beyond the summer will enter the decisive phase in the coming weeks, but Juventus are aware that several European clubs, including Bayern Munich have targeted the France intentional.

Many other players see their contracts expire in 2025. Among them are Chiesa, Wojciech Szczesny, Danilo, Mattia Perin, Moise Kean and Weston McKennie.

Gazzetta reports that Juventus want to offer all of them a new one-year deal, giving them a chance to play in the Club World Cup next season and avoiding the risk of losing them on a free transfer in a year.

The only exception is Kean as Juventus are willing to listen to offers for the Italian striker at the end of the season.

Negotiations are not at an advanced stage for any of these footballers, even though McKennie’s entourage has reportedly demanded a higher salary. If the American midfielder doesn’t sign a new deal, Juventus will put him on the market for €15-20m.
